Facebook Launches "Reactions" Emoticons Worldwide.

Hi Friends,

Good News to all Facebook users.. now you can express your reaction in five more ways other than "Like". Facebook has launched on Wednesday the five new emoticons are extension to existing "Like" button.These are namely "Love", "Haha" , "Wow" "Sad" ."Angry". 

Previously it was very confusing & awkward when we wanted to react to "Facebook Post" other than "like". It was demand from Facebook users since long to have more ways to express reactions beside "like"button.


For more than year Facebook was conducting global research including focus groups and surveys to determine what types of reactions people would want to use most. Facebook  also observed at how people are already commenting on posts and the top stickers and emoticons as signals for the types of reactions people are already using to determine which reactions to offer.

Facebook had launched pilot project of "Reactions"at Beta stage in the market like spain,Ireland in October.The "Yay" emoticon which was part of pilot launch was not seen the launch video on Wednesday ,which means Facebook has removed "yay"emoticon from list.

How to use Facebook "Reactions" :


For Mobile Phones:

  • Go to Facebook post to  which you want to React.
  • Press & Hold down the "Like" Button.
  • Now Tray Containing Six Emoticons will appear.
  • Click/Select the required Emoticon.
  • You Reaction will get registered on post.

For Desktop:
  • Go to Facebook post to  which you want to React.
  • Hover your cursor on "like" button.
  • Now Tray Containing Six Emoticons will appear.
  • Click/Select the required Emoticon.
  • You Reaction will get registered on post.

The Facebook has said that it will utilize the data gathered from uses of these Emoticons to better understand the user behavior & ad delivery.



Friends.. keep in mind that as per Facebook it will take couple of days to get these Emoticons on profiles in the most of countries.

The Adwords Platform enables businesses to set budget for advertising and only pay when people clicks the ad.
